Authors have always been my heroes. To be considered among that rank, to see my book on the shelves of the local Barnes & Noble, has been absolutely amazing!
I’ve been writing music, stories, and essays since I was a child. I took at nearly 20 year hiatus while developing my career as a consultant. In 2003 I left corporate life to start writing. I submitted my first article and one week later the editor of the magazine I submitted it to, called and asked if I would write a career column.
Part of my catalyst for beginning to write again was Stephen King’s book, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft. He dispels the “searching for your muse” angst and recommends a yeoman’s, - do the heavy lifting, same place, same time, so that your muse knows where to find you - approach to writing.
So I wake up at 4:00am every morning to write – every day, 365 days a year.
My current book, Buildiing Your I.T. Career, was released by Pearson in March of 2013.
