I was always writing. When I was a little girl of six and seven I would write stories. I have other passions such as music and acting however, but I enjoy writing the most.
I read a variety of genres. I enjoyed Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, I also really liked Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See, who also wrote Peony in Love.
I write mostly science fiction/fantasy books because they have no limit. I don't have any rules, I can do whatever I want. However soon I hope to be starting a new book. I don't know what I am going to call it. My mother used to work at the Vermont Veterans Nursing Home and I met many fantastic people with unbelievable stories. I befriended many of these men and women and someone suggested I write down their stories as a thank you and maybe they may be appreciated more, especially by the younger generation. I hope to start this book soon.
I live in Pownal, VT with my mother, father and older brother. I also have six horses, two iguanas, four dogs, one cat, four fish, one bird and one rabbit. I love to go on horse back rides with my horse, Sarah, and get lost in the woods behind my house. I find nature peaceful and during the spring, summer and fall (not very often during the winter) I like to go outside and just write in the woods. My brother and I used to come up with stories when we were really little, and all of them were acted out in the woods. When I was around ten we had an obsession with Star Wars and we would go out and choreograph our own lightsaber battles. Sometimes, to refresh my memory of the fun times, I will write them down when I find I have nothing better to do.
A lot of the time I will find myself writing during classes. This has effected my grade before, but most of my grades right now are in the 90's. But during class I will write down anything that pops in my head, and if I can't think of anything to write, I will write in some of my favorite character's points of view. I find these to be good exercises!
Along with my fantasy books, I like to write romance. Now, I have no romantic experience. But as I watch many of my friends and hear their stories about their boy or girlfriends, it makes me a little jealous, so to make up for my romance lack, I write plenty to fill me up with butterflies and tears.
