Devoted mom publishes first book: An adventure story for pre-teen girls that involves horses and all the fun and tears that go along with owning your own. This book was written straight from my heart.

Background Information

Heatherís first contact with horses was when she was very young. She went to her brotherís riding lesson with him and instantly fell in love with the horses. It didnít work out for her brother, Wally, but this began a very long and wonderful love of horses for Heather. Born in Chicago, IL, Heather and her family moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1979, and once she finally found a trainer in Bradenton, she began to get serious about riding. Her passion has stayed with her to this day. She rode and showed horses for several years and also taught riding lessons to young children. She still loves to ride and hopes to pass this love on to her daughter, who is also starting to ride at age 4. She has been married to her husband, Jeff, for 13 years and has two children; a stepson, Jeffrey Jr., who is now 22-years-old and, as mentioned above, a daughter, Skylar, who is 4-years-old. Heather remembers her horse days as the best and most fun days of her childhood and cherishes every memory she has of that time in her life. Her motivation for writing Summer Dreams is to share some of her experiences with her readers in hopes that this may spark an interest in some good, clean, healthy fun. Not only did horses provide a healthy hobby for Heather, but they also played an important role in teaching her many of lifeís lessons; some of which are wonderfully exciting, and some of which are not so pleasant, but all of which are very important. Growing up with horses has helped mold the person that Heather is today and she is very thankful for the opportunity to have such wonderful memories to look back on and revisit those beautiful times in her life.
