People say I'm funny. That's good, right? I manage a bookstore right next to Starbucks. Ain't life grande?

Ever since I was a small child, I have been swept away by the magic of books. Getting so caught up in a story that the world dissolves around me is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Whether traveling through time and space for the sheer joy of it, or finding comfort when you need to step outside of a painful reality, a good book is a passport to another existence. In this realm we can absorb more knowledge than could ever be ours in one lifetime. In no other way do humans connect so deeply as through their art. We become one through our stories. We feel each other’s pains and pleasures, questions and desires. We are not just reading words: we are hearing the heartbeat of all mankind. It echoes through the ages and will never be silent, as long as we listen. From Go Dog Go (my favorite book when I was three), through Bleak House, The Great Gatsby, and The Lord of the Rings (my favorite books now),I have wanted to tell stories too. What can be better?
