"Dream It, Believe It, Work It, Achieve It" Stephen J. Cutler

Background Information

RALLY CAPS was co-authored by myself and my daughter, Jodi Cutler Del Dottore. Jodi's son (my grandson), Jordan, was the motivation behind writing RALLY CAPS. Jordan is deaf and wears a cochlear implant just like the character, Luca, in the book. We hope that others around the world who are hearing impaired can identify with this character who has a confident, positive "nothing is impossible" attitude. Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr is the other inspiration in the story. The "Ripken Way" baseball philosophy is featured throughout the book.

Birth Place
Washington, DC USA

Signing RALLY CAPS in Cooperstown, NY during Cal Ripken's Hall of Fame Induction Weekend July 27-29, 2007.
Receiving the Reader Views Reader's Choice Award for 2007 Best Children's 7 and Over Book.
RALLY CAPS translated and published in Italy, April 2008. PreView Movie Trailer Video produced November 7, 2008. See it on YouTube and on the RALLY CAPS website.

Additional Information

RALLY CAPS was endorsed by Cal Ripken, Jr. "RALLY CAPS is a heartwarming book about perseverance and courage. Congratulations to Steve and Jodi for taking the challenges in their lives and turning it into a wonderful book that helps teach valuable lessons of acceptance and resilience to kids and adults alike." RALLY CAPS was endorsed by Brooks Robinson: "RALLY CAPS celebrates the game of baseball as it's meant to be played by teaching kids fundatmentals and teamwork wiht a few entertaining old-fashioned pranks. This is one story I'll be reading with my grandchildren." RALLY CAPS was endorsed by Tim Kurkjian: "I really enjoyed the book RALLY CAPS. It is a compelling story of a boy who learns to never give up in overcoming some of the difficulties that life brings. It is important reading for all parents, especially dads. As a father of two children who play multiple sports, I was truly inspired by this book." RALLY CAPS was endorsed by Curtis Pride, the only deaf Major League baseball player. He said, "RALLY CAPS is a story that really hit home with me. Growing up, my hearing friends quickly learned being deaf makes no difference, just like the character Jordan discovers in this book. There is a very real message here - "Nothing is Impossible." See on the "Media Page"
