Born and raised in Philadelphia, I was always asked the question ‘what are you going to do with your life?’ It was an easy question, but I never really had an answer. It was while in my junior year of high school that I was introduced to writing. After I graduated in the summer of 1983, I found myself making the trek into the workforce, and had taken a position as a data entry clerk with an agricultural publisher. Then I found out what it feels like to lose a job after 8 years...it sucked! After searching for a year, I then found myself taking a job as a reprint assistant for a medical publisher. That’s when I thought I had the answer to the question, ‘what are you going to do with your life?’ A career in publishing seemed to be it...it's the occupation that just kept finding me. But all good things must come to an end, and I was left in search of a job after 10 years, but I felt like a pro at it! Writing had always been something that I loved. I was writing everything from short stories to poetry to well, you name it. So here I am, a newly published author of the book ‘What The Heart Yearns For’ and the recently published sequel 'The Long Road to Tomorrow'. I've also just completed my next book, a children's story that I am in the process of getting illustrated and hope to have out in early 2010. I finally have the answer to that question, even though it has taken most of my life to get there. I want to be a writer. After all, it's What The Heart Yearns For.
