Background
Information

Granger studied at the college of Wooster and University of Massachusetts in Amherst, earning a BA in English at the latter. After a number of years of subsistence farming and building log cabins in the Adirondack Mountains, she obtained a Master of Science in Teaching at SUNY Plattsburgh. Somehow all that background and more has found its way into her writing. She edited and coauthored "Shared Storieds from Daughters of Alzheimer's: Writing a Path to Peace" (iUniverse, 2002, iUniverse Star 2004)and wrote the YA novel "Adirondack Gold" and its accompanying teacher's guide in 2003. In 2006 she began organizing writers' retreats, which are held on St. George Island, FL, and in Thurman, NY. In 2008 she published her second novel, "Adirondack Gold II: A Summer of Strangers." She offers programs on her books, on Alzheimer's disease, and presents living history activities for kids.
