Influenced at an early age by a steady diet of soap operas, camp films, and FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILMLAND magazine, Max Pierce was born in Dallas Texas, but knew his destiny lay in Hollywood. Given this, it's amazing he has no desire to be a screenwriter, although he is inevitably asked this question when with his laptop at his favorite haunts. Max is a classically-trained journalist, meaning he's nosy, and has written on Hollywood personalities, film history and the town itself, as well gay culture for numerous national publications including CLASSIC IMAGES and online for THE ADVOCATE. His first novel, THE MASTER OF SEACLIFF, a gay gothic romantic mystery was released in early 2007. He has contributed to numerous anthologies and is always working on future projects--too many to keep on track, actually.
