Let's Talk About Children's Grief 2nd Book, When My Mommy Died, is available NOW!

Background Information

Wife, mother, ordained & licensed minister in the International Church of God, youth pastor and Children's Ministries director and author.
Realizing that children grieve differently, Sargent began searching for resources written to and for young children. Finding the search difficult, she was led to develop "healing" books that encourage children to write poems and letters or draw pictures onto each page. Her first book, "When My Daddy Died," was published in 2007. Her second book, "When My Mommy Died," was published in 2012.
Mothers and Fathers are dying in Afghanistan, Iraq and on the streets of America's cities everyday, she said. What about their children?
She believes that unresolved grief is the root of every unpleasant emotion! "Grief is the one emotion everybody experiences and nobody wants to talk about!
It's time we helped children grieve in a healthy way. It's time we talk!"
