Joe comes from a long line of farmers, good, hardworking people, with a rascal or cowboy mixed in now and again. While he loved the people and the life, his heart resonated with the astronaut, the cowboy, the adventurer. His imagination fed by Burroughs and London, then Heinlen, Anthony, and King, he lived many lives courtesy of the written word. His first stories came in song, ballads and whimsy, tales of adventure and heartache and happiness. Then a bigger story grabbed him and a novel was born.
Joe has worked in a variety of jobs, from laborer to computer technician to manager in a manufacturing company, and brings a wealth of experience with people to his writing.
He is a member of two writing groups: Panhandle Professional Writers in Amarillo, Texas and the Write Right Critique Group in his home town of Lubbock, Texas.
