The idea for this book came from bad times in my life and tough situations. I was living in a one room apartment and working at a job that was seasonal. I was a struggling young man and my situation had to change. I had to encourage my self in the Lord so in the year 2002 I started to pass on a positive word everyday of the week to my friends and family. I started passing the word for the day by phone first and now at this time I only pass it on by email. I decided to get the book published earlier this year. The book can be purchased at amazom.com or authorhouse.com or you can order the book from your local book store. The Word for The Day Book Two will be published next year. I believe that this book will be a benefit to your church bookstore or organization because everyone needs a word of encouragement to inspire them to not give up and settle for less but more and to dream. With God all things are possible if you just believe. My goal for this book is to lead people to God and to advance Godís Kingdom. Please help me advance Godís Kingdom and spread the Gospel. Thank you in advance.
The Word For The Day Is - Trust
Who are you putting your trust in? Is it man, is it yourself or is it God?
Jeremiah 17:5-8 - This is what the Lord says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord. He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. "But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." (NIV)
Punch Line: In all things put your trust in the Lord your God.
The Word For The Day Is Ė Quit
Never Give Up or Quit! Keep Trying!
Galatians 6:9 Ė And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting and doing right for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. Amplified Bible
Proverbs 10:4 Ė He becomes poor who works with a slack and idle hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
Punch Line: When times get rough, donít quit. Donít just try, but try harder. Donít just give 100% give them 150%. When you fall down, get back up. If you have a goal, then attain it. Itís time to stop procrastinating and make your dreams come true.
The Word For The Day Is - Goal
A goal is the ongoing pursuit of a worthy objective until accomplished.
Philippians 3: 13,14 - Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
Nehemiah - 2:11, 12,17,18 - I went to Jerusalem, and after staying there for three days I set out during the night with a few men. I had not told anyone what my God had put in my heart to do for Jerusalem. There were no mounts with me except the one I was riding on. Then I said to them, "You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace." I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me and what the king had said to me. They replied, "Let us start rebuilding." So they began this good work. (NIV)
Punch Line: Paul's goal was to win the prize for which God has called him. Nehemiah's goal was to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. What is it that you are pursuing and you will not rest until it is accomplished?
The Word for the day is for Monday through Friday. Saturday reflect, Sunday go to church.
