Los Angeles based Rosa Sanchez and Ofelia Fox use theater to promote social awareness and have written extensively in both English and Spanish for radio, television and the theater. They combine comedy with serious themes, particularly those that affect women and Latinos.

From the International Association of Art Critics of Miami: Best play for "La Perla" and "Adios, Inocencia" in Spanish and "The King of Dominoes" in English.
From the Spanish Media Association of New York, best play of the year for "A Lola se le ha muerto un tio."
Pan-American Theatrical Association of Hollywood, two best plays of the year: "Weekend" and "Siempre Intente Decir Algo" and its English version: "I always meant to tell you, but..." both versions toured the city of Los Angeles under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Department of the City of Los Angeles.
Pan-American Circle of Cultural Affairs of the Bergen College, award for short story: "Venancio."
One of three final nominees for the covetted Golden Letters award sponsored by American Express and the University of Miami for one act play "Scum."
Citation from the International Lyceum of Culture of Los Angeles, California, for the short story: "Another country."
Authors of several TV programs both in English and Spanish: "ANGELS' COURT," the pilot and episodes and "RADIO PACHANGA" pilot and episodes.
For Telesistema Mejicano (Univision) telenovela "La Duda."
Poetry in Spanish, books: "Lo soņado" and "Lo conquistado."
Short movie: "The last mission."

Additional Information

"CUBA, PATRIA EN LAGRIMAS Y EL MENSAJE DE LIANSU" book based on radio manuscripts, published in 2007, announced on October 6th at the Los Angeles County Public Library during the Mes de la Hispanidad and presented at Miami International Book Fair on November 11th, 2007.The book has been nominated for an award from the Instituto Nacional de Periodismo Latino-Americano.
