Dog rescuer in my spare time.
BUT writing is my favorite pastime and I am hoping that 2008 will be the year I finally find a publisher/agent for my book.

I always dreamed of being a writer and sitting at my little desk pounding out bestsellers while doing the laundry. So far I have only been published in Letters to the Editors of my local paper, but I still believe it will happen someday. Last year I self published the book I always wanted to write concerning homeless dogs and how volunteers across the country are saving their lives, one at a time, by driving them to their new homes or to a rescue. All profits from the sales of the book are going back into dog rescue organizations. My major influence while growing up was Erma Bombeck and I would love to write a humor book. I work part-time as a clerk in an Emergency Room of a large hospital and I plan someday to write a book about all the strange things that I have seen (no names, of course).

EVERY RESCUED DOG HAS A TALE
This site displays my selfpublished book with an excerpt and some photos, as well as a summary of the book and how to order it. You can contact me through email and share your thoughts. And please sign the guestbook on the last page.
DOG DESERVE BETTER.COM
This website is the home of the organization Dogs Deserve Better that is changing laws all across the country to get dogs off chains and into the house. Since 2002 they have saved hundreds of dogs who lived 24/7 chained to a dog house or tree with no socialization and sometimes died that way. The sales of my book on their website go to help them.
