Following retirement from Christian ministry/missions, I became more involved investigating spiritual/mystical and paranormal topics. Most of my main fan website www.myspace.com/writerdantabor  is dedicated to blogs on poetry and over the top adult humor that normally will not be published. Some of my major influences include:  Rod Serling, John & Lorraine Warren. Raymond Moody, George Noory, Whitley Streiber,etc... My favorite fiction writers include: J.D. Salinger, Norman Mailer, Richard Laymon, Michael Slade, Stephen King, etc...I have been blessed to travel throughout most of the United States, Paris and Israel. I work on a new piece of fiction each summer in Eastern Maine(Bangor/ Belfast area)and then catch a couple of mid-season Notre Dame football games back in South Bend Indiana before spending winters hibernating in near tropical Southern Louisiana. Back when growing up in both Chicago & South Bend Indiana, my mind became fascinated and impressioned upon by the likes of Rod Serling, Leonard Nemoy's 'In Search Of', KISS, Notre Dame Football, Woody Allen films, DR. WHO, Bozo The Clown, Cubs Baseball, John Cougar, 60 Minutes, Welcome Back Kotter, David Letterman, Docotor Demento and dozens of 1980's coming of age movies such as "The Outsiders", "Less Than Zero", "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", "Tex", "Vision Quest", "Say Anything", "The Last American Virgin", "Saint Elmo's Fire", "Footloose", "Sixteen Candles", etc...
  I finished my last two years of High School at Lafayette in Williamsburg Virginia (known for spawning football greats Lawrence Taylor, Ron Springs & Mel Blount).  I pretty much went through my hippie/metal phase during High School while working full-time nights year-round for 5 years at Berret's Seafood Restaurant. Had ALOT of Rocking times, fast times, psychotic flashes of inspration, sex and saw practically EVERY 80's metal band in concert between 1985 & 1989.
  My 20's however were unfortunately absolutely miserable while spending that entire decade living in Richmond Virginia (the grimy ghetto that can't get past getting their butts whipped & losing the Civil War). I went to college part-time, then went through a bodybuilding/pure-ist kick, followed by an extremely naive and snooty Christian phase that resulted in nothing but let down and heartbreak. However-soon after the Millenium-I broke free from the chains of misery and feeling trapped. I BROKE OUT and similar to Jack Kerouack (just without a car), I traveled abundantly over the next five years throughout virtually EVERY direction and point Greyhound traveled(once even traveled from Maine to Los Angeles). I sought after perplexing mysteries (as a former paranormal investigator) and eventually evolved into  this unusual and unique writer of the here and now.

I also love all cats, college football, Boston Red Sox & Chicago Cubs baseball .

The precarious Joe Nichols is John Bapts High Schools’ most outrageously witty and cocky underclassman. He is a juvenile prankster alongside fellow neighborhood cronies Jake Kahler (Bangor Maine’s most infamous bully and vandal) and gay, fake British intellectual Ian Holm. It is the end of another school year in Bangor Maine, preluding a final summer of adventure amongst Joe’s best friends. All lending support in organizing a solid, bone crushing team to play in the annual freeze football game.A three decade-rich tradition facing extinction from Bangor's religious right.Joe is also in predictament over romantic advances by nerdy, teacher's pet "Pigeon-legged" Lucy .All the while trying to cope with his best friend Lenny’s battle with cystic fibrosis and chagrin over his Mother dating a geeky insurance klutz.Deeply represented are many uprises and pitfalls challenging young adults today, while illustrating why this is ‘The Way Life Should Be.’

Follow the bumbling adventures of Georgy Porgy as he dates Goose Lips Laura, a woman determined to transform him from a stuttering buffoon into a dignified politician. Hannipee is a college radio DJ and is Georgy Porgys' number #1 fan. He is willing to risk his job, his health and cost listeners their sanity over such fanhood. other comedic charactors include Goergy Porgy's parents "MR Read My Lips" and "Ms Quazimodo." Also college chums Red and Thelma who are the first to introduce Georgy Porgy to Goose Lips Laura at a barbeque in 1970's Midland Texas.Chock full of laughter, insight and insult. The Mayoral Election draws closer, Officer Cooney continues his twisted pillage for profit and only the few brave warriors who have had enough are willing to exchange blood for blood inorder to keep their neighborhoods and lives from being dominated and utterly destroyed.
