Shari is a children's author. She loves animals. She also loves trees but tries to resist the urge to hug them.

Background Information

I was influenced by my father who was a writer. I was also inspired by every author whose work transported me to wonderful places, and times, and made magic with words. I was influenced the most by every adult who took the time to read aloud to me during my formative years. (Thank you for enriching my life.)

Accomplishments

I have read every book on writing for children that I could get my hands on.
I have had work published in Children's Playmate, Hopscotch, Wild Animal Baby, Wee Ones, Babybug, Ladybug, Highlights for Children, Pack-o-Fun, Bread for God's Children, Dragonfly Spirit, Holiday Crafts 4 Kids, Stories for Children, Story Friends, Holidays and Seasonal Celebrations, Schooldays, Lighthouse Story Collections, and The Friend. I also was one of the judges in the Wee Ones Magazine Mystery Contest and the SCBWI Magazine Merit Awards.

Additional Information

I have a three book picture/storybook series about brother raccoons; The Misadventures of Rooter and Snuffle, On the Go With Rooter and Snuffle, Trouble Finds Rooter and Snuffle. My picture book, Nothing Stops Noah is available now. Another picture book A Horse Of Course will be out soon. All of my books are available as ebooks, on CD or in paperback.
