Ever since I was five or six years old, nearly everything I saw, overheard, learned in school or simply wondered about I turned--in my head--into movies and plays and novels and articles. When I grew up, I started taking them out of my head and putting them down on paper. As most of you know, that's often an uphill battle. Though I've had some success along the way, it's still an uphill climb, but because of what and who I am, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have the distinction of writing for more New Jersey-based magazines than perhaps any other journalist, and now that I've relocated to Connecticut, I hope to win the same sort of distinction. Here I go. Wish me luck. I was also fortunate recently to have a series of short plays performed off-off-Broadway, collectively called "Six Tens from a Fifty." My fourth book was recently published by BearManor Media. It's called "Grandpa Had a Long One: Personal Notes on the Life, Career & Legacy of Benny Bell," part bio and part memoir about my crazy comedian grandfather and the intriguing relationship I had with him. I also recently self-published an e-book called "I Would Rather Have Root Canal Once a Week for the Rest of My Life Than Ever Buy a House Again."

Lately I have been writing press releases for creative individuals (musicians, filmmakers, authors), many of them through LinkedIn.
