John Peter Davis - Writing Biography
A few years back, John was in the process of a divorce which was to re-energize both their lives when tragedy struck. His ex-wife-to-be was killed in a car accident before the divorce was finalized.
The unusual circumstances that followed, together with the early days of online chatting, sent John to chase his dream of being a writer.
John threw himself headfirst into the internet. He took pieces of people he met online and molded them into his first fictional, internet romance short story.
Several long distance internet relationships ensued and in the process John learned the intricacies of internet relationships - romance, love and heartbreak.
He wrote more romantic short stories but in July 2007 something happened. John needed to diffuse some very intense emotions and they channeled into his first poem titled “If Only.”
While he had never written a poem before, the next months brought more of those intense feelings and his emotions would effortlessly pour into his keyboard.
“Love’s Wall,” John’s first published book, was released March 2008. It contains those writings together with whimsical and internet based romantic notions.
Having written about the feelings, it then made sense to write about the bizarre events that caused them. “Brick Wall” was released August 2008.
“Brick Wall” tells a romantic adventure story and “Love’s Wall” tells how it feels.
In the works are books of short stories and more poems.
Until then, pamper yourself with the gifts of romance that last a lifetime – “Brick Wall” and “Love’s Wall” - available at all major online bookstores such as Amazon (free shipping) and Barnes & Noble. Find direct links at John’s website.
The internet is a curious blend of fact and fiction. Where one ends and the other begins is often impossible to detect as is seen in John Peter Davis’s writings.
(In 2009, John found lasting love on the internet and for the first time in his life has become "Daddy John" to an instant family of kids (3 of which are 9, 10 & 10, including 2 divas). That should inspire some interesting writing! Stay tuned...)
