“I’m not even sure where it all started. Maybe it was just a feeling of discomfort, like wanting to crawl out of my own skin. I was looking for greater meaning in life and knew I needed to make a change. And change I have! I can’t even really recall my life ten years ago. It’s been an incredible journey. But in the many books I read that contributed to my learning and growth, what seemed to be missing was the part that involves how you incorporate the principles into your daily life. That was my inspiration for these book – to provide the direction that seemed to be missing in order to facilitate the journey of others along this same path.
I worked on What Would the Sage Do Now? A Spiritual Approach to Problem-Solving (and its companion workbook, Create A Great Life! A Spiritual Approach to New Year's Resolutions) for several years, wondering why it was taking me so long. Eventually, I realized that I couldn’t have written it a moment sooner. I needed every experience for the guidance to flow. It had to come from a place of wisdom and knowingness, rather than being merely ideas and concepts. The S-A-G-E approach itself began to develop when I realized how much time I spent convincing my subconscious that we could solve any problem with the universe’s help. If I asked myself “What would the sage do now?” it was easier to accept. We are all connected, and thus, I am the ‘Wise Old Sage’. I have learned that making space in your life to tune into your own inner wisdom becomes the foundation for every life experience, adding to its quality in a beautiful, integrating way. When you allow yourself to connect with it, you can begin to understand and accept that anything and everything really does happen for a reason.”
