Background
Information

Having studied the Sociology of Sport my major interests lie in gender issues within sport, the relationship between sport and the media and safety in sport. I have concentrated many of my articles and writings on Formula One and have a lifelong interest in a wide range of motorsports.
I am very interested in children's books, having been a bookworm as a child. I am strongly driven by the inspiration of children's dreams and ambitions in sport as a way of highlighting and making their education more interesting, as I hope will come across in my recent book (more details below)

Published in April 2002 by Miles Kelly Publishing, my first children's book 'You Can Make It In Formula 1'.
This is in a series of Miles Kelly career orientated books aimed at 8-13 year olds. The book covers the realities, qualifications and talents of racing drivers interspersed with F1 facts, contact addresses and a lot of humour.
The book's foreward is by Sir Stirling Moss who's words of kindness have been a great honour and he is adamant that all race fans should read the book!
I continue to write a monthly column for the Formula One site Pitpass (www.pitpass.com).
I work as a freelance writer, many of my articles concentrating on motor racing related issues but also more general women's and young people's interests.
