In 2003,  my desire to write (after a 17+ year hiatus) was the result of a "spiritual vision."   After surrendering to the urge, I began to write, non-stop for several months.  Finally, within 4 months, I had written over 40 poems, short stories and short articles.  One year later, I had another "spiritual vision."  I founded and created a non-profit literary corporation for children and youth.  I named it...THE L.U.C.K.Y. Program.  By the end of 2005, my non-profit children's corporation was beginning to receive local media attention.  I was featured in several local newspapers.  In 2006, once again, following the Lord's directions, I was signed (under contract) with a New York-based music recording studio, as a lyricist.   In the summer of 2006, I started a creative writing venture.  I name it...Creatively Poetic & Written Expressions.  In the summer of 2007, I decided to publish some of my work.  I named it..."A TOUCH of QUANTUM REFLECTIONS."  By the time, that the fall of 2007 arrived, my book was available to be purchased or borrowed at local 'brick n mortar' bookstores, on the internet, local public county libraries and a cultural exchange center.  This lead to...book readings and signings, radio station (internet/web & conventional) interviews, magazine profile articles, speaking engagements and more.  In January of this year, I was informed, that I had been nominated for the Upstate Black History Makers' Award. In February, I was one of 40+ local authors to participate, in a county library's local authors' expo.  In March, I was invited to 'perform' at a local arts and music festival and several other events.  Currently, I am making plans to travel nationwide, to promote my book.  I was invited (2 weeks ago), to give a reading and book signing in Texas.  Last, but never least, on April 19-20th, I am holding (what I've been told) is the FIRST BLACK AUTHORS' EXPO in this part of the state.  There are Black authors from ALL over the country, coming to participate.  I am LIVING PROOF that ... "IF YOU LISTEN WHEN GOD SPEAKS TO YOU, HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH."
