A return to her birthplace, Cuba, in 1991, after an absence of twenty years, prompted Teresa's novel, "Havana Split," and she hasn't stopped writing since!

Teresa was born in Camaguey, Cuba and emigrated to the United States after spending several years in Spain. Upon arrival in the U.S. she set goals to learn Englsh and obtain a college education, supporting herself through a variety of jobs -- office cleaner, window washer, singer, astrologer, detective, secretary, translator, teacher, counselor and everything legal in between. Her interest in people and their stories has always been a part of her life as is shown in her writing. Teresa is now published in both Spanish and English, with at least two more books in the works.
