The main reason I became a writer is so that I wouldn't have to work for a living. And guess what? Promoting a book is the hardest job of all! I am a comic memoirist and my influences include such classic writers as Dorothy Parker, Mark Twain and James Thurber, as well as more contemporary authors like David Sedaris, Laurie Notaro and Bill Bryson.
