(A published poet, an artist at heart, restaurateur by profession and a life-long student of spirituality, mystical poetry and a seeker of the mysteries of the Unknown)
Armed with eight dollars and a Masters in English Literature, J. Kapur came to America in 1967 with truly little more than a shirt on his back. While studying for his MBA at San Francisco’s Golden Gate University, Kapur worked in the evenings . After completing his MBA, his career began at Channel 2-KTVU, before opening a string of 8 restaurants in Bay Area & he now owns Maharani Restaurant in San Francisco. He had short stints in real estate and as a stockbroker. He has been a lifelong student of metaphysics and his outlook on life is innately spiritual.
He has written poetry books and articles on food and spiritually oriented topics. His most notable works;
“The Divine Perfume of Love” an anthology of 108 love poems and mystical verses, was published in 2001 by IUniverse. Com.
‘Deck of Heart’ is another of his works, a collection of 54 poems on a deck of playing cards.
