Accomplishments

Author of four books, Secrets of My Soul (2001), Immaculate Perceptions (2003), 28 Days of Poetry Celebrating Black History (2007), and 28 Days of Poetry Celebrating Black History: Volume 2 (2008).

In addition, Faison has won a number of poetry contests and has also been published in four chapbooks: POETICALLY SPEAKING (2001), I LOVE YOU POETRY (2004), EVERY POEM IS AN IDEA (2004) and REALITIES (2004). Faison's poetry has been published in the University of Toledo's POEMS FOR PEACE project, and in 2003 some of her poetry was presented along with thousands of other poets to Congress in a POETS AGAINST THE WAR initiative. Faison's writing has been featured in various publications in print, online and internationally.
