Ever since my mother read to me repeatedly when I was a small child, I've always had a deep love for reading and have more than four thousand books in my own library. Born in 1952, I grew up with one eye on the past in the days of the old West, and the other in the far future among distant planets. There was no limit to the adventures I had in my imagination. We lived in a two room log cabin with a two room lean-to until I was eight. My father built another house after a copperhead snake crawled into the room where we were sleeping. Much of what is referred to as the "Good ol' days" I actually lived. The living conditions are far better now, or perhaps it just seems so. Perhaps I've just grown soft with age. I hated writing in school, which is ironic since I love to do it now. My favorite authors are Edgar Rice Burroughs, Arthur C. Clark, Louis L'AMOUR, Max Brand, Zane Grey, Ernest Haycox, and now Ben Bova. Dusty Rhodes is also now one of my favorite western authors. If you haven't read his book "The Manhunter", Go to his web page at www.eclectics.com/dustyrhodes Once you start reading it, you won't want to put it down. He has recently had two more books published, "Jedidiah Boone" and "Shiloh", both of which are just as good as his first. I highly recommend his novels to you.

My greatest achievement has been raising two fine sons.I've received more than twenty awards and certificates of merit for outstanding service in our nation's department of agriculture. Leadership awards from two different churches. I have one book in print titled "Fortress America". I'm currently working on eight others. I'm also Santa Claus to many.

I'm married to a wonderful woman, who I believe is a living example of the woman described in Proverbs 31. She home schools both our boys, who are now considering their options after high school. I have a western titled "Back From the Dead", which is the first book of the Jerry Samson Chronicles. Book two of this series is also completed, titled, "The War Arrow". The third western, titled, "Law of the Gun" has been started."Fortress America", a Christian/Adventure novel, was released from Treble Heart Books on Nov. 11th, 2004. However, currently, I have cancelled all contracts with that publisher. I am searching for another publisher at this time.
