Information

Paul McGoran lives in Newport, Rhode Island. In his life before fiction, he was a Russian language interpreter for the U.S. Navy, a career marketing executive, a day trader, and a management consultant. In addition to his first novel Porkpie, McGoran has completed a sequel entitled The Breastplate of Faith and Love.
All of Paul's stories are in the hardboiled and noir mystery/suspense genres. His affinity for these works goes back to childhood and the old films he bunked school to watch on television in the fifties. He admires a range of authors in the genre, from Jim Thompson, Elmore Leonard and Lawrence Block to Michael Connelly and George Pelecanos.

At present, Paul is writing his third novel, a Stafford Boyle mystery called SOONER OR LATER, DELICATE DEATH. He is also putting together a collection of short noir fiction called ASK ME WHO THE DEVIL IS.
