As a mother and stepmother, Anjalon Edwards found writing to be therapeutic and relaxing. She decided to take a writing aptitude test and complete an Institute of Children's Literature writing course. Her initial thought was to write children books on how to deal with anger, anxiety, and other emotional issues to help students she worked with daily as a School Social Worker. However, the drama and issues stemming from her personal life overshadowed her plans. "I knew I was going through so much drama in my personal life, I told myself- I can write a book about this. And that's exactly what I did!" Since writing her first adult fiction novel, she has encouraged others to do the same. "Accomplish your goals, you can do it you'll be suprised." Her hopes are that readers can relax, relate, and release with her main character, Carmen Fuller in Reality Check: Stepmother Chronicles. And note- not all stepmothers are evil.
Anjalon has had a blessed year from 2008-2009. She has been interviewed on several radio media and has had 3 book reviews- www.blended-families.com, www.blendedfamilyfocus.com, and urbanbookreview.com. Anjalon has participated on three author panels and met several book lovers! She is currently working on her non-fiction sequel to Reality Check, conveniently titled "Stepmother Chronicles II". Anticipate that book to be published in 2010.
"Thank you to all the book lovers for your support! Peace!"
