Nancy Stampahar(Pittsburgh, PA) is the author of the 2009 IPPY Award winning self-help book, peace, love and lemonade: a recipe to make your life sweeter and is a sought-after organizational development consultant, trainer and speaker. Nancy solely owns and directs her consulting, speaking and training business, Silver Lining Solutions. Nancy earned her BSBA in human resource management from Robert Morris University, after she decided to make lemonade.
She has appeared on television as a change management and adversity expert for “The Jennifer Show”. She has also discussed other topics as a guest on the radio shows: “The American Entrepreneur with Ron Morris”, “WAMO with Sly & Vicki”, as well as the internet radio show “VoiceAmerica, Disability Matters”. Nancy’s organizational development expertise and personal life stories have been sought after and written about in several local and national publications like Baseline Magazine, Personal Excellence, Pittsburgh Business Times and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette newspapers.
Nancy has improved organizational performances and cultivated personal achievements within individuals with her human behavior and business expertise, skill development methodologies, wisdom and passion for enhancing the lives of people. She has improved performances in the academic, business services, healthcare, manufacturing, non-profit, retail, telecommunications and travel and tourism industries; and has held employment positions that developed her diverse business skills in customer service, human resources, general operations management, marketing, organizational development, sales and training in various parts of the country.
Nancy believes in volunteerism and is committed to helping people who have disabilities with the fundraising initiative she created called, “The Over 21 Disabilities Project”. Nancy currently serves as a Trustee for The ARC of Greater Pittsburgh and is donating a portion of her book’s proceeds to this initiative in memory of her intellectually-disabled brother. She was the co-chairperson for the Arc 58th National Convention and was awarded the 2009 Joe Ott Award from ACHIEVA, which serves people with disabilities in recognition of outstanding vision, volunteer leadership and generosity of spirit.
