George C. Richardson lives in Arvada, Colorado with his wife Dinah, an elementary school librarian and Dozer their mixed breed dog.
George grew up in Fredericktown, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Navy for 9 years (1961 Through 1970. He then attended Edinboro State University of Pennsylvania and earned a degree in accounting.
George is the author of Drummer. A story of courage and determination by a young runaway slave. Johnny Jackson eludes bount hunters to become a drummer for a colored infantry unit.
George is also the author of American Privateer. American Privateer will be available in early July, 2004. This story centers on Patrick Harrell a young orphan who goes to sea aboard the privateer Freeport.
