I enjoy Walter Mosley’s Easy Rawlins Mysteries. I also appreciate the works of Tony Lindsay, author of One Dead Preacher and Prayer of Prey. Though she’s not a mystery writer, I admire Betty L. Bush for her novel, Expect Sunshine. I regard it as one of my favorite African-American classics.
