After a mid-life crisis, a chance for love and a move to the hub of the South, my life took a drastic turn.  A dilapidating heart attack suffered by my daddy and an opportunity for career advancement gave me a chance to return to a place I loved.  The need for sand between my toes, ocean breezes and moonlit nights on the beach beckoned me to the coast I had grown to love. Who says, ‘You can’t go home’. 

I welcome you to journey through a story of survival, of love, of stubbornness, of miracles and of coming back home…based on emails that were sent to family and friends during our long ordeal with Daddy and our fight to overcome his original prognosis of ‘brain-dead, no chance of recovery’.
