focused on prayer,history of

Christianity,leading prayer groups,reflecting on

our own spiritual path etc.I also attended

workshops on dance as prayer.

Currently my novels and screen plays are being reviewed by over twenty producers. My two screen plays are being reviewed so I am hopeful. My songs are also being reviewed.

A Christmas Letter
Christmas story about one mother's life-changing decision and her daughter's struggle to forgive her. My name is Cindy Tuttle, and I've recently completed a movie-of-the-week screenplay called A Christmas Letter. A Christmas Letter is similar in tone to Lifetime Movie Network’s movie-of-the-week, A Christmas Blessing. Main character Beth Stevenson loses her father in a bus crash during her junior year of high school in 1976. Unbeknownst to Beth, her bipolar mother, Mary, is soon diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. Mary, an actress, decides to keep her disease secret from Beth, and tells Beth she’s going on tour as the lead in a stage play, while she’s really receiving hospice care. Beth is forced to leave town and live with her grandmother. She’s bitter toward her mother and refuses to speak with her. Mary stays out of contact with Beth for years. Beth marries her high school sweetheart and receives wedding gifts from her mother. She shatters the gifts, but her Aunt Sue rescues a small gold box and tucks it away in Beth’s attic for later. When Beth’s son comes home from college before Christmas, Beth finds the small gold box hidden among old Christmas decorations. She opens the box, and out tumbles a letter. The letter is from Mary, and it explains her cancer history, her resulting partial paralysis, and why she hasn’t seen her daughter in years. Beth is forced to deal with her bitterness and finally forgives her mother, reuniting the family in time for them to spend a warm Christmas Day together.

Together, they walk the rocky path to emotional healing and love. We’ll kill you, the voices in Sarah’s head scream. Sarah has spent half a decade in mental institutions and no one, not even her mother, has visited. Now her brother Doug announces he is coming. The last time she saw Doug was seven years ago; why should he visit now? I’ll kill you if you tell. That’s what Doug said when he raped her. She was only seven years old and she believed him. At twenty-one, she still believes him. The secret must never get out—the voices remind her of that. When Doug arrives, Sarah refuses to see him, but the house mother insists. Doug appears gentle and caring when he delivers the news that their mother has died. In reality, he is furious because their mother left Sarah a substantial fortune while he received nothing. Doug’s old desire to possess her resurfaces when he sees her. The meeting with Doug and the death of her mother sends Sarah over the edge of sanity. She runs away from the home, but she cannot function in normal society. Her personality disorder manifests, escalating to violent reactions. Sarah is apprehended by police and taken to a mental hospital. One of the officers feels compassion for her and talks to a hospital social worker, Leslie. She becomes interested in Sarah’s problem, especially when there is no record of Sarah’s childhood. Leslie speaks to her friend at the hospital, Dr. Chuck Stevenson. Together, they decide Sarah can be healed if they can find out what happened in her childhood. As the weeks go by they slowly draw Sarah out and earn her trust. Leslie and Chuck encourage another patient, Matt, to befriend Sarah. Twenty-three year old Matt is also traumatized and suicidal. Five years before, he witnessed the murder of his family and blames himself for hiding instead of helping. The friendship between Matt and Sarah flourishes and he falls in love with her, but he must treat her fragile emotions with care. Sarah fears physical contact, especially with men. The friends join a church group, and a progressive pastor, Paul, takes them under his wing. Chuck, Leslie and Paul join together with the common goal of seeing Matt and Sarah healed and integrated into normal life. For the first time since her childhood, Sarah is loved. With Chuck and Leslie’s counseling and occupational therapy, Sarah blossoms. She learns to control the voices and to stop her emotions from escalating into violence. Through Paul’s gentle guidance, she renews her relationship with God. And with Matt, she has a friend for the first time. Obsessed with acquiring the whole inheritance and possessing Sarah, Doug spends months plotting to achieve these ends. He lures Sarah to a deserted house in a nearby forest, but Matt finds the letter and alerts Chuck and Leslie, who inform the police. They are found, but Doug has raped Sarah. He intended killing her afterwards with the warped concept that he would then get the inheritance. Sarah suffers a setback, but her spirit rises above these adversities and she claws her way back to healing. But even from a prison cell, Doug tries to kill her. Again, Matt rescues her. Finally, all obstacles are removed; Sarah emerges like a butterfly and returns Matt’s love with all her heart.
