Freya S. Williams is a native of Waynesboro, Georgia. She is married to Rodney Williams and they have three children, Ryan, Jordan and Kendall and they reside in Grovetown, Georgia.
She writes about issues that have personally affected her world such as politics, religion, Math (since she's a Math instructor), teens and women's issues. Her desire is to inform, educate and motivate others through her writing.
She is the author of Pray Before You Vote, an inspirational book that encourages Christians to seek God before they vote and encourage non-voters to become a part of the political process. This book was birthed because of Freya’s own struggle with her personal views versus God’s views. Also, the hypocrisy in Christian politicians and Christian leaders also concerned her as well. While watching Kenneth Copeland and David Barton, she was inspired to research the history of voting and politics and as a result Pray Before You Vote! Jesus Is Not a Democrat or a Republican! Jesus Is Lord was birthed!
She is a member of Waynesboro Deliverance Church where Dr. Pastor Glenn Wiggins, Sr. and Betty Jo Wiggins are the Senior Pastor and Co-Pastor. She is a Lay Minister and has served in the following roles: Children’s Church, Nursery, Tutoring, Sunday school and School of Ministry Technology Teacher.
She joined Thankful Baptist Church as a young child and later she joined Maranatha Tabernacle Church as a teenager under Pastors and Glenda Vaught. She joined Waynesboro Deliverance during her college years. She is a prayer partner with TV49, Watchmen Broadcasting of Augusta, GA. She is also responsible for updating the website for TV49 where Dorothy and Russell Spaulding are the founders.
Her spiritual training came from Central Christian University and the Deliverance School of Ministry in Waynesboro, Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies.
She earned a basketball scholarship to Claflin University of Orangeburg, SC where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. While attending Claflin University, she was voted Miss Homecoming 1991, Miss Asbury Hall 1992, and Miss Claflin University 1993-1994.
