So, a little bit about me. I was born in Walnut Creek, CA on March 1, 1988. I only lived there for a year before my mom and dad decided that they had enough of the Bay Area and at age 1 year the three of us moved back to my dad's hometown of Sacramento, CA, living on the outskirt of the State Capital in a small suburb called Elk Grove. When I was three another kid was added to the family, my little sister Catherine. Together we attended the same elementery school, then split ways during middle school and finally found ourselves in the same high school, sisters that were always mistakened for cousins. I was the odd one out in the family, being a bit of a ugly duckling mixed with a touch of emo.
As a band geek and a aspiring writer I was teased by friends and family for being a bit reclusive, and not likely to do anything remarkable within my 4 years at high school. That didn't stop me from proving them wrong. As a sophomore I snagged the lead chair in band for flute and kept it till Junior year when I left band. I never really attempted to write till the summer of 08' when I had several weeks to kill before college started. To whittle away the time, I started writing stories that appealed to me. Stories about vampires, but not the 200 page kind that would make my finges ache at the mere thought of typing 50,000 words. My parents still teased me that I'd never get past page 5 before I called it quits. I am proud to say that I've yet again proved them wrong, when my first book ended at 64 pages and my second at 98. To this day I don't think I could feel more accomplished then when I press the accept button on the self publish page, initiating myself as a published writer. As you can see I can never tell a short story, so I'll cut the bragging out and say that I'm happy to be here as a author and encourage anyone that has a little faith that they can write to go for the gut feeling and do it, because you really don't know till you try.
