English and Psychology degrees. Have been secondary and primary caregiver for 5 family members with a variety of illnesses. Learned a lot and learned to laugh as much. Humor is vital in the crises of caregiving. Requests from friends going through similar situations motivated me to write this book. So many caregivers have no idea of the challenges they will face nor the decisions they will need to make. Many feel overwhelmed by their roles.
The goal of my book, Lessons from the Ancients, is to offer the 50 million Americans who are caring for family or friend, some suggestions for handling issues, some education about what they might encounter, and some humor and spiritual insights for inspiration.
