As an old soul misplaced in a modern world, I love the romance of browsing dusty book stacks in the attics of old Italianate buildings. I devour tomes on philosophy, poetry, science, world history, and classic novels. I can't seem to get enough information--I love to learn, learn, learn! I also enjoy enhancing my rock garden, attempting to play Mozart on the piano, watching old movies, writing poetry, volunteering at the local hospital and animal shelter. I would love to one day trek through the rainforests of Borneo and meet some furry fire-orange orangutans--it has been one of my dreams since I was a shy little girl growing up in the Midwest.

~~Concurrently preparing two projects for possible future publication: A biography of a brilliant celebrated family friend who, in his last year of life, taught me an intriguing way of viewing the world; answering questions that had puzzled me forever and a day. And secondly comes another collaboratory effort from across the pond, an interpretation of several obscure and choice pieces from the Heian period of Japanese literature.
I also continue to compile poems for that anthology I'd love to share. Am still collecting essays on human rights, healthcare, poverty, war; the abysmal state of the human condition could become my obsession one day. Every single person matters. Love to everyone!
(this update is made public for far-and-away friends, i'm otherwise a very private person; if interested in titles, feel free to leave a message on the board) *updated 01/28/2013
