My mother read to me from a very young age getting me to love books as much as she did. I liked to make up stories and as a child my nose was always in a book. I think I came out of the womb with a crayon in one hand and a book in the other, and my dream of writing and illustrating came to fruition when I went to college as a mid-lifer. I worked as a freelance writer for several magazines and newspapers while living in MA. When my husband and I moved to NC, I was able to continue my magazine writing and also started writing books, reworking a children's book I had started many years before. At this time I have three unfinished mainstream novels in the work, and my children's book is ready for publication 

AA degree in Visual Art from Cape Cod Community College.

BA degree in Liberal studies with a concentration in writing from Western New England College.
