The day I stop learning will be the day they'll cover me with dirt. But I suppose even then, God will have something else to teach me.

I said those words many years ago, wondering if I truly believed them. Now, five careers later, they are more meaningful than ever. I wrote my first short story, CHRISTMAS ON THE MOON - 1980, in the eighth grade. Later I entertained my children with 'THE MISADVENTURES OF THE TOOTH FAIRY'.
As a wife and mother, I jealously guarded rare moments with Danielle Steele, Harold Robbins and William Shakespeare. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, I relished off duty hours with John MacDonald and Anne McCaffrey.
When I retired from trucking twenty years later, I finally had the time to put my stories on paper. As a Fruad Investigator for a credit card company, I learned how devious a thief can be when dedicated to attaining his goal. My fourth career as a Los Angeles, California Funeral Director, has allowed me to delve deep into the frailties of the human body. All of these "jobs" have fused together to help me perfect my chosen literary voice.

My first mystery, "GREYHOUND" an action-packed sprint through the Florida dog racing circuit, was released in E-Book form in 2000. My newest release, "REFUGE", is an inspirational love story that asks the question, "In the midst of a national epidemic of domestic violence, is escape and recovery possible?" REFUGE focuses on the tragedy of one woman's life and its effect on the medical staff of an Los Angeles Inner City Free Clinic, and demonstrates hope when two people come together by sharing their fears and overcoming them through a deep and abiding love.
Someone asked me, "Why the switch from intrigue to romance?" Well, if you're writing murder, mystery and mayhem, occasionally it a case of the more dead bodies, the better. But there comes a time when any author needs something sweet. REFUGE is my Snickers Bar.
A Southern Michigan native, I now resides in a small coastal community south of Los Angeles, where I'm only a short boat ride from my beloved Avalon.
