As a child, I lived by a river where I played with kids who had the same persona as Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher! River life of cooking crappies, swinging on vines, and paddling an old canoe helped to foster my imagination. Now I spend a half year in my old rust-bucket motor home in Hilton Head, S.C. where I do a lot of my writing.
