The side no one talks about in the public or the media. The dark side of property management , it's ugly and mystifying. Most people cringe when they hear the words resident manager. Sending chills up your spine, fear, a lump in your throat, an adrenalin rush and many ill thoughts come to mind. We are profiled as being evil and accused of sitting on our lazy ass all day doing nothing but giving orders and collecting rent. This is truly a myth. You have to see it to believe it: the mental torture and verbal beat downs from residents on a daily basis. Listening to the continuous outlash, severe bitterness, disrespect and outrage is almost inconceivable and alarming. You have to have thick skin, otherwise you will be shaking in your boots. Imagine a resident calling the resident manager a bitch, when your tenure on the property is in the palm of my hands. Residents, you've had your 15 minutes of fame; now it's my turn to unveil what really goes on behind closed doors in reference to property management and residents living in multifamily apartments. Will the real culprits stand up?
