Monica Carter grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has been a newspaper reporter, and is now an editor and columnist for a daily newspaper in Shreveport, Louisiana.
As If Nothing Happened is her first novel. It's a tale of friendship, love and loss.
She is now working on her second novel, Sacrifice the One.
