Minister Catherine J. Griffin is a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She has been married to her High School Sweetheart Retired U. S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, Toney E. Griffin, for over 28 years. She is the mother of three children and Nana to nine wonderful Grandchildren.
Minister Griffin loves the Lord with all her heart, soul and mind. She was first licensed as an Evangelist and later on- Feb 1998 -as a Minister, at MT. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Norfolk, Virginia; where she was cultivated to grow and empowered to go in the name of Jesus Christ, all under the Pastor-Ship of the Bishop Clarence V. Russell Jr.
She rendered 8 ½ years of service unto the Lord through ministries in South East Asia within various United States Military Communities- namely Japan and Korea. At Command Fleet Activities Yokosuka Japan she served 4 years in various positions to include Women of Excellence Chairperson, Bible Study facilitator, Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) Assistant Chairperson and as Lay Minister at the Naval Base Chapel.
In Seoul Korea, she served at the Church of God- Ministry To The Military for another 4 ½ years in several other capacities; Women of Excellence Chairperson, Praise & Worship Leader and then as Assistant Pastor. She was also actively involved with the United States Eighth Army Religious Programs serving as Spiritual Director for the Seoul Korea Tres Dias Retreat Community.
Minister Griffin is the Servant founder of Appointed and Anointed Ministries. Enriching marriages and encouraging singles, she depicts a clear understanding to the purpose and power of Unity in the Body of Christ regardless of church denomination or religious affiliation. Often called upon to serve at Conferences all over the US and aboard, however when home in MS, she serves at her home church, Mt. Carmel Ministries, Hattiesburg, Mississippi under Pastor Kenneth E. Fairley Sr.
