I began writing seven years ago in 2001, after my sixteen year old son was murdered in a drive-by shooting. My life was reduced to half, and the meaning of living no longer existed. I was lost and confused, and so I began writing down my feelings. Not knowing why I was doing it still I continued. I did not know what I had actually wrote, until I started reading my written words. Wow my eye were staring at words of poetry, I didn't even know I had that poetic talent, I was a poet a writer. I was following the wrong dreams, my sons death directed me to my true destiny. And so SILENT DREAMS was born.
My life is a book in itself, I have indured so many tragedies of loss and even more pain, after losing two siblings back to back. One in 2004 and the other in 2005, both from Diabetes. My mom in 2005 who has alzheimer's slipped deeper into the grips of the mind stealing demon, and so I wrote a poem called Scattered Memories. Dedicated to her and every child of an alzheimer's parent or Grandparent It;s in my book Silent Dreams. I hope that this poem and my other poems as well brings healing and blessings to everyone (The World ). We are all in this together.
I am now a published writer, my dreams are becomming a reality. My success will benefit others as well as myself and my family, I am a philanthropist/ poet/writer ( I also write fiction stories ) and Grandmother to seven grandsons.
