Background Information

I am a native of Detroit, I was born and raised in the Jefferies Housing Projects. People considered this the ghetto, but I chose not to be a product of my environment. I obtained my education in the Detroit public school system, I have a Bachelors degree in Business Management and an MBA in Business Administration from Cornerstone University.

I was motivated to write, and give my readers a glimpse of what I was exposed to, while growing up in the ghetto. I love to read, write poetry, play co-ed softball and my new forte of writing ficiton novels. I am happily married to my soulmate, James A. Cannon, we have five sons, James Jr, Corey, Jonathan, Jordan, Jalen, and one granddaughter, Co'Mya.
