Dogs of a Different Collar is her first children's novel, and she has several other children’s books written and ready for publishers to snatch up.
Reading to My Buddy, an easy-reader book for 5-7 year-olds, is a funny, touching story about a loveable dog helping a young reader gain confidence.
Lazy Daisy, the Love Dog, a picture book for ages 3-7, is an enchanting tale of a puppy's serendipitous route to becoming a therapy dog. It will be released in June 2013.
Sadie, who was the inspiration for Dogs of a Different Collar, expects dog biscuit royalities on every book sold. Her other books are inspired by the mission of therapy animal programs across the country.
Marti enjoys the company of children and her goal for author visits is to stimulate interest in reading, inspire young writers and have fun learning.
Before moving to heaven and devoting her life to play, volunteering, and writing, she worked for over thirty years as a computer scientist at NASA and the National Institutes of Health. She now has time to combine several of her loves—writing, children and animals.

NEW BOOK to be released in June 2013! Lazy Daisy, the Love Dog is a children's picture book for ages 4-7. The pup, Daisy, is more interested in cuddling and snuggling than in romping and running. Everyone calls Daisy a lazy dog, except her friend, Mattie, who thinks the pup is perfect just the way she is. ‘We are all good at something’ is realized when Daisy’s laziness becomes an asset as she becomes a therapy dog.
