Called one of the best, unknown Dark Fanstasy writers of our time! Novelist of "Life's Puncture Wounds," an exciting, allegorical, multicultural horror/dark fantasy tale. It is a female coming of age tale told in the literary, horror, dark fantasy genres. Also, authot of "Blooming Madness" -- all about mushrooms and mayhem in the big city!

Background Information

Raised in the North East, the city and the country.  As an adult, lived in California, New York City, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.  Traveled overseas. As a Journalist, I met and interviewed a variety of people while working for the: Los Angeles Times, the Enterprise, the Gardena Valley News, Life Magazine, the Good Life-Independent Journal Newspapers, Inc., ABC News, and CNN.

"Life's Puncture Wounds," was my first novel. It is a suspenseful, horror/dark fantasy, female coming-of-age tale has received much positive feedback. LPW is in: three public libraries, was sold at a museum, available for sale at bookstores, and listed on several websites. Writing infuences include, but are not limited to: James Baldwin, Stephen King, Sylvia Plath, Mary Shelley, and Edgar Allen Poe.

Flora Clough Library Award. Americorps*VISTA Alumnus.

Additional Information

I'm amazed by some interesting comments I've gotten from readers. They were concerned about my female character in "Life's Puncture Wounds" and they wanted me to assure them that she'd be OK. I did. My character, Tara, is one encouraged and not discouraged, hopeful female. I've done several book signings and readings including the African American Museum in Philadelphia and the Free Library of Philadelphia where I discussed commercial fiction and horror genres and female horror novelists. People love "Blooming Madness."

Two new novels are out - "Life's Puncture Wounds" and "Blooming Madness." "Life's Punture Wounds" is an exciting, thought-provoking, suspensful, darkly erotic, fantastic novel involves a multicultural cast. The novel's main character, Tara, lives on the outskirts of life. She is beautiful inside, but is not rich, successful, or outwardly beautiful. She is emotionally abused as a child. She never gives up seeking out a better life, although she is pursued by unnatural blood sucking leeches and spiders. This allegorical, emotional coming of age tale is set amidst the exciting backdrops of Pasadena, Calif. and Central America (mainly Costa Rica and Panama). "Blooming Madness" are five dark-fantasy tales, centering on a vegetable. Scary, sexualized, and humorous at times.
