I can't believe my book is now published!

Background Information

I work for a bookstore which is lethal as I love books and spend more than I earn. I have been writing since I was eleven, and enjoy reading books of all genres. In high school I won an award for a short story on domestic violence after sitting in on a closed court session (after gaining special permission) to hear first hand the brutality and horror of victims' personal accounts. It was harrowing and incredibly frightening, and really opened my eyes to the evils of the world.

I love to read Stephen King, Brandon Sanderson, Robin Hobb, Lee Child, J. Randy Taraborrelli, Philip Carlo, Peter Robinson, and Jeffery Deaver to name a few. It's important, I believe, to read as many various genres and writing styles as possible as it opens your eyes to all the options available to writers.

I started writing because I wanted to tell a story that I hoped people would enjoy enough to re-read and recommend to friends and family. I hope I've done that with Enchantment's Deception. It's not earth-shattering or life-changing, but my hope is that people will simply enjoy it for what it is: a Fantasy/SciFi that was fun to write and hopefully will be good to read.

Accomplishments

No real achievements, other than that I've had poetry printed in a local newsletter; I wrote a short story on domestic violence years ago which won an award in a competition our local metropolitan newspaper was holding.

Additional Information

Enchantment's Deception is the first book in a series of 5, and is available to order online from book providers. Depending on how well Deception is received, I'm hoping to be able to release the second book by the end of next year. But it all depends, doesn't it?
