My name is Samuel Ornstein; I was born October 20, 1935, in New York City. In the early 1960’s, through family and friends I was introduced to the film industry where I spent the next 25 years working as a film and video editor. I had the distinct pleasure of creating hundreds of television commercials, industrials, documentaries, music videos, feature films and feature film trailers. Over those years I was a happy recepient of a variety of Film Industry awards.
For most of those 30 years I was self-employed; working in New York City post-production companies, and developing an extensive client list including: Alcoa, Avis, Anheiser Busch, BOAC, Budweiser, Burger King, Cadillac, Camel Cigarettes, Carling Black Label, Celanese, Charmin, Hertz, IBM, Life Cereal, Magnavox TV, Michelob, Miller Beer, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Noxzema, PBS, Pirelli Tires, Pontiac, Singer Sewing Machines, Toyota Trucks, Walt Disney, Warner Brothers, Wheaties, United Way, plus others.
In 1985, I retired from the business world at age 50, and over the next few years continued free-lancing as a film editor. Later, I went into retail; selling Men’s clothing and in 2002 I started working in the Security Service industry where I remain employed to this day.
