I am Sandra Peoples, author of Foolish. I am very passionate about writing good fiction with a deep message.

Background Information

I have been writing since the age of eight. It was when I entered a writing contest sponsored by Ebony/JET magazine and they sent me a letter addressing me as 'writer', that I knew I wanted to become a professional writer. In both high school and college I recieved words of encouragement from my teachers and professors saying that I should definitely seek a career as a writer. I have since authored two books and am a contributor for numerous magazines and websites. I look up to the author, Miasha, and Tamika Newhouse. They are both great examples of what hard work and determination can accomplish.

I work as a self publishing consultant, which means that I help the author seeking to utilize this road to publication to do it the right way, and I help them to avoid being taken advantage of by companies seeking to capitlize off of the aspiring authors dreams.

Additional Information

I am working on the sequel to Foolish, an independent film, a magazine and more. I also teach classes and workshops on the subjects of writing and publishing and speak to groups about the dangers of domestic violence.
