Katharine L. Sparrow holds a BA in foreign language from Bridgewater State College and an MSW from Boston College. She has worked in the mental health field for many years. She has three wonderful children, the youngest of whom is still at home, but she will soon be an "emtpy nester"! Travel and languages are a passion, and she has lived in Germany and Spain. Katharine is a lifetime lover of poetry, but only began writing poetry herself in 2009. She draws from personal experience for her subject matter, and was influenced by children's writers such as A.A. Milne and Kaye Starbird for her children's poetry. She has two books of poetry, published in 2010, and a third, for children, in the works. Katharine lives in Massachusetts, USA.
